Shipping policy

Shipping Policy

Melee House ships natural loose diamonds worldwide from our office in Surat, Gujarat, India. All prices and shipping charges are in US dollars.

Shipping Options

  • Standard Insured Shipping: $50. Delivery in about 5 to 8 business days after dispatch.
  • Express Insured Shipping: $150. Delivery in about 1 to 2 business days after dispatch.

Every order is fully insured until it is delivered and signed for.

Processing Time

Orders are usually prepared and dispatched within 1 to 3 business days after payment clears. Orders paid by wire transfer ship only after funds reach our bank. Certificate orders take longer while the stones are graded; we will give you an estimate when you order. We do not dispatch on weekends or Indian public holidays.

Carriers

We ship with trusted insured carriers such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, Aramex, or a specialist valuables courier, depending on your destination and order value.

Tracking and Signature

  • You will receive an email with your tracking number once the parcel ships. Tracking may take 24 to 48 hours to update.
  • An adult signature is required on delivery. Parcels cannot be left unattended.
  • After dispatch we cannot change the delivery address or redirect the parcel, as this can cancel the insurance. Please check your address carefully at checkout.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

Orders ship from India. The recipient is responsible for all import duties, taxes, VAT/GST, and customs broker or clearance fees in the destination country. The carrier usually collects these before delivery. Rates vary by country and we cannot predict them. We declare the true value of every shipment and will not mark parcels as gifts or lower their declared value.

We are not responsible for delays caused by customs. Parcels that are refused, or not cleared because duties were not paid, may be returned to us at your expense, and the shipping charge will not be refunded.

Countries We Do Not Ship To

We currently do not ship to: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Jamaica, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. We also do not ship to countries or regions subject to comprehensive sanctions or trade restrictions.

Lost, Damaged, or Missing Parcels

  • If tracking shows "delivered" but you did not receive the parcel, contact us within 24 hours.
  • If a parcel looks opened or damaged, refuse it and tell the courier and us right away. Accepting a tampered parcel can void the insurance.
  • For a confirmed loss, we file an insurance claim with the carrier. Claims usually take 2 to 4 weeks. Once approved, you can choose a replacement (if available) or a full refund.

Failed Deliveries

If the carrier cannot deliver after its delivery attempts and the parcel comes back to us, reshipping will be charged again at the current shipping rate.
