Most melee is traded without paperwork, which keeps it affordable. When you or your client want proof, add a grading certificate. An independent gem laboratory checks your stones and seals them in a numbered parcel.

What your certificate shows
Summary number
A unique report number, with a QR code to check the report online.
Shape and cut
For example round brilliant, princess or baguette.
Total weight
The estimated total carat weight of the parcel.
Color
The color grade or range, such as E–F or G–H.
Clarity
The clarity grade or range, such as VVS or VS.
Identification
Natural or lab-grown diamond, and the number of stones.
Sealed in a labeled parcel
Your stones arrive in a sealed packet with hologram security stickers. The grade, the piece count and the carat weight are written on the front, so they match the certificate exactly. Keep the packet sealed until you are ready to set the stones.
How it works
- Choose your melee. Pick the size, color and clarity you need.
- Tick Add grading certificate. The fee is added to your cart automatically.
- We send the stones to the lab. They are checked, weighed and sealed with the certificate.
- Your parcel ships. Certificate and sealed stones arrive together, fully insured.

Good to know
- Certificate orders take a little longer to dispatch while the stones are graded. We will tell you the expected date.
- Certificate fees are not refundable, even if the stones are returned.
- If you return a certified item, the original certificate must come back with it.
